Judicial Proceedings Committee Hearing:
Thursday February 29, 2024, 1:00pm EST

Registration required: Wednesday February 28, 2024

Maryland’s SB914 prohibits discrimination in employment, education, public accommodations, commercial leasing, and housing based on a person’s refusal to undergo a genetic procedure. This bill is now set for a hearing at the Judicial Proceedings Committee on Thursday February 29.

    1.  Sign up to submit written testimony, testify remotely, or testify in person with the instructions below.

    2.  Email your senator and the Committee by clicking on the Take Action link below.

Maryland law already protects your genetic privacy, and this bill would recognize your right to maintain your own genetic integrity by prohibiting unwanted genetic procedures. This will protect you from both existing procedures and newly developed technologies that can alter your genetic materials.
