Dr. Karen Moriarty
Dr. Karen was born in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland. Her family immigrated to Lexington, Massachusetts when she was six years old. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with highest honors from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri.
Her first year in practice was as an associate doctor in a combined medical/chiropractic practice in Worcester. Dr. Karen then took over the Northboro Chiropractic Center in 1985 from Dr. David Ferrari who was retiring from practice. At the time, she was the only woman chiropractor in Worcester County. Since starting practice, Dr. Karen has attended hundreds of hours of postgraduate studies, served as secretary for the Worcester County Chiropractic Society, was appointed to the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Chiropractic by Governor Weld and is currently a board member of the Massachusetts Alliance of Chiropractic Philosophy. She is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and the Massachusetts Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Karen is the mother of two daughters who were both born at home assisted by midwives. Like her daughters, Dr. Karen’s granddaughters have received chiropractic care since the day she was born.
Dr. Karen is dedicated to improving the quality and expression of her patient’s lives and health by optimizing the function of their nervous system over their lifetime and by continuously educating them as they make their journey towards the true health and healing that can only come from within themselves.
As part of our mission to empower the health of our community, Dr. Karen provides our practice members with the most recent validated information in her workshops on important health issues such as nutrition, weight loss, immunity, stress management, exercise, learning challenges and heart health.
