Support Bills that Affirm the
Right of Bodily Autonomy and Integrity

Our Right to Refuse team has identified Seventy-five bills in Thirty-four states that have been introduced since January 2021 that are moving to protect your fundamental right to make medical decisions without coercion!  Our Right to Refuse special website will soon be up to help you find what is happening in your state.  Please share with your friends that live in these states.  

This week we ask you to support:

New Hampshire

Urgent April 7-9th Deadline:  Go to Health Freedom New Hampshire to support their health freedom bodily autonomy legislation.  House Bill H220 is on the House Floor Session Calendar for April 7-9th, 2021, and contains the following broad statement of health freedom state policy:

“Every person has the natural, essential, and inherent right to bodily integrity, free from any threat or compulsion that the person accepts any medical intervention, including immunization. No person may be compelled to receive an unwanted medical intervention, including immunization.”

Vermont

Take Action Here with Health Choice Vermont to support their right to bodily autonomy legislation.  House File 283 and Senate File S322  that include:

The State of Vermont recognizes the rights of each individual to bodily autonomy, to make the individual’s own health care decisions, and to be free to accept or refuse any health or medical intervention, testing, treatment, or vaccine based on the individual’s own religious, conscientious, or personal beliefs.”

“…entities shall not deny, restrict, infringe upon, or impose conditions on an individual’s rights to bodily autonomy, to make the individual’s own health care decisions, and to be free to accept or refuse any health or medical intervention, testing, treatment, or vaccine based on the individual’s own religious, conscientious, or personal beliefs.”

New Mexico

Take Action Here and write to your New Mexico legislators to support Senate Bill 408 relating to human rights that includes the following language:

H. “right of bodily integrity” means a person’s right to accept or reject a medical intervention free from any threat or compulsion; …”

South Dakota

Take Action Here and write to your South Dakota legislators to support House Bill 1159 relating to protection of bodily integrity that includes the following language:

“Nothing in this chapter may be construed to interfere with each person’s inalienable right to bodily integrity. The right to bodily integrity includes being free from any threat or compulsion to accept any medical intervention, including any vaccination.

No person may, as a result of refusing to accept a medical intervention, including any vaccination, be subjected to discrimination or retaliation with respect to association, education, employment, housing, property rights, public accommodations, or public services…”
