Thanksgiving New!  Amazing hearing held!
 Massachusetts S665/H3660, The Consumer Access and Right to Practice Complementary and Alternative Health Care

We have good news!  The Massachusetts hearing on November 19^th, on S665/H3660 was amazing and productive!  Legislative members of MA’s Joint Public Health Committee listened carefully with affirming nods as 34 outstanding and committed citizens testified with their moving stories of healing experiences. 

NHFA has deep gratitude for the members of the nonprofit organization, Health Freedom Action Massachusetts, and their sponsored citizen committee that is working hard to move the historic safe harbor practitioner exemption bill forward.  The bill will make it possible for Massachusetts to join eleven other states in protecting the thousands of wonderful complementary and alternative practitioners such as herbalists, homeopaths, traditional naturopaths, Ayurveda practitioners, energy healers, wellness consultants, and many others who are providing great services to health seekers in Massachusetts.  

The next step for the bills:  S665/H3660 will now go to an Executive Committee meeting of the Joint Public Health Committee, where the bill will be discussed and voted on by legislators without citizen testimony.  We will keep you posted as to when that Executive Committee will be meeting.
