After months of dedication, countless conversations, and a great deal of persistence, we’re thrilled to announce that SB 524 has officially been signed into law by Governor Kelly Ayotte. This new law ensures that alcohol-based herbal tinctures may continue to be legally sold in New Hampshire beginning in January 2027.
This was an issue that had the potential to significantly impact herbalists, small businesses, and the many people who rely on these traditional herbal preparations. We knew it was worth fighting for, and we’re incredibly grateful that common sense prevailed.
The Potting Shed was honored to play an active role in helping bring attention to this issue and advocating for a solution. While this victory was made possible through the efforts of many dedicated individuals, organizations, legislators, and supporters, we’re proud to have been part of the process that helped protect access to these important herbal products for years to come.
We also wanted to personally thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in what we do. Having people like you standing behind us throughout this journey meant more than you know.
